Vitamin A is an antioxidant that protects the body and maintains balance. Vitamin A helps control the activity of free radicals, and is beneficial for maintaining good vision and promoting health.

There are two major forms of vitamin A, retinol and beta-carotene. Retinol is necessary for normal function of the intestines, eyes and lungs. Beta-carotene is derived from plants and converted into vitamin A by the body when needed.

Vitamin A also benefits the skin,as well as the digestive, respiratory, reproductive and immune systems. However, excess vitamin A is stored in the liver and too much may cause toxicity over time.

Vitamin D is considered a sunshine nutrient. Vitamin D, a micronutrient, is essential for the absorption and metabolism of calcium and phosphorous. Vitamin D helps build strong bones, teeth and skin, and is important to the nervous system and kidneys.

Vitamin D is produced naturally in the body from exposure to sunlight. Daily doses of sunlight will typically satisfy the vitamin D intake that the body requires. Vitamin D is important for maintaining the health of the heart, nerves, muscles and skin.

(Women who are pregnant or wish to become pregnant should not exceed a daily intake of 5,000 IU of vitamin A.)

Take one capsule daily with a meal.
